Dr. Clemencia Rasquinha, MD, CMD
Dr. Rasquinha practices the true art of Geriatric Medicine. She loves to share her passion for geriatrics and aging by speaking on senior health topics to various organizations. Dr. Rasquinha graduated from Bangalore University in India, served her residency and internship at Bergen Pines County Hospital in Paramus, NJ, and completed fellowships in clinical nutrition, hospital leadership and is a board certified Geriatrician. She carries the title Certified Medical Director from the board of post-acute and long-term care medicine. She has served as medical director for home care, hospice, rehabilitation medicine and long-term care. She was instrumental in creating Clinical Pearls and Guidelines in Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Rasquinha is married to husband, Cecil Asher; she has two adult children and is a dog enthusiast and counts a Portuguese water-dog and a Puggle among her family members. She enjoys cooking, walking outdoors and always strives to keep her mind and body active.
Dr. Sesha Patel, MD
Dr. Sesha Patel brings a robust variety of healthcare career experiences to our team. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Maryland at College Park and her Medical Degree from Central American Health Services where she graduated as the valedictorian. Sesha completed her internship and residency at New York Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and is certified by The American Board of Internal Medicine. She has spent the majority of her career in teaching hospitals as an academic hospitalist where she worked with inpatient acute care patients. Sesha strongly believes in educating her patients and allowing them to make fully informed decisions regarding their health. When not at work, Sesha enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves to stay active as an avid hiker and winter sports enthusiast.
Dr. Silvia Hugec, MD
Silvia Hugec brings excellent primary care experience coupled with a gentle bedside manner to her work with patients. She received her Medical Degree from Pavol Jozef Safarik University Faculty of Medicine in Slovakia and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester in New York. Silvia has spent her career working in outpatient internal medicine where she’s always focused on making a positive impact on the lives of each of her patients while also providing the highest quality care and guidance. She strives to improve the health, well-being and happiness of each patient she works with. In her free time, Silvia enjoys gardening, running, swimming and spending time with her family.
Steven Atkinson, PA-C, MS
Steven Atkinson is a Board Certified Physician Assistant specializing in Geriatric Internal Medicine. He has worked with Dr. Rasquinha for more than 15 years. He is adjunct faculty at the University of Utah and has done so since 1994; he has been involved in medicine since 1988. He is dynamic speaker and lectures both nationally and internationally. He is a published author in the area of Geriatric Pharmacology and has served on several boards related to geriatric medicine and care. He is an avid outdoors enthusiast and enjoys running in almost every destination he travels to. He enjoys working with the elderly and considers it his "passion" in life. His positive personality and energy have earned him several local awards in the arena of Geriatric Adult Medicine.
Jeannine Phillips, PA-C, MS
Jeannine, "Jeannie" to her patients, is a second career PA. She graduated from Marquette University with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2007 and began her PA journey in Mankato, MN in urgent care and family practice settings for four years. She then transferred to Sibley Medical Center/Ridgeview to develop a blended nursing home and clinic practice. It was during this interval that she realized that her true calling was to care for the geriatric population while educating and supporting their family members. Jeannie joined Twin Cities Physicians in March 2016. Her previous career, as a teacher, brought her overseas to England and Thailand. She received her Bachelors in Music education, Chemistry and Physical Science Education from Saint Olaf College in 1987. When not at work, Jeannie loves directing her church brass group, traveling, working on home projects, gardening, landscaping, enjoying the outdoors, and riding her motorcycle.
Nancy Strong, APRN, CNP
Nancy Strong is a board certified Adult Gerontological Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN and her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. She is also a certified wound care nurse. Nancy began her career in the United States Army as a medic. Since then, her healthcare career has included a variety of experiences in long term care, hospital nursing, home care, private duty, and at a mobile blood bank. While working as a registered nurse, she became concerned with patients she cared for who were taking a plethora of medications both prescribed and over the counter. She found patients often did not know what they were taking or why. She decided to focus her energy on becoming a nurse practitioner, with a goal of helping patients manage chronic diseases through appropriate prescribing and treatments. She enjoys working collaboratively with other healthcare providers and patients to help them achieve optimum health. In Nancy’s spare time, she enjoys relaxing at her cabin, traveling, walking outdoors, and spending time with her family and her pampered pooch, Copper.
Heather Arechigo, MSN, AGNP-C
Heather Arechigo is a Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Adult-Gerontology. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Heather worked in an Intensive Care Unit specializing in adult critical care & neurologic crisis. She holds a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing from Kaplan University where she graduated with honors & is still a member of the S.A.L.U.T.E honor society that recognizes academic excellence and leadership qualities. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the College of Saint Catherine in St. Paul, MN. Heather was a student teacher of anatomy and physiology during her undergraduate nursing program. In addition to her professional career, Heather is a Combat Veteran having served in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a member of the US Army from 2001-2009. When not at work, she spends time with her husband and two beautiful daughters. Heather values family time, learning to speak Spanish as a family and active hobbies like snowboarding & running.
Julie Goldfine, DNP, APRN, NP-C
Julie is an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She graduated with honors from Bethel University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the College of St. Scholastica. After spending over a decade in health care, she has realized her passion for working with the geriatric population by promoting quality of life and approaching care from a holistic model. Julie’s special interests in medicine include care for patients with heart failure, diabetic management, and end-of-life care, and she regularly shares her knowledge on these topics. In her free time, Julie enjoys being outdoors, running, playing tennis, and biking.
Tanya Eiffler, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CFCN
Tanya is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner focused on providing excellent care for senior adults. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of settings including assisted living communities, transitional care units, and long term care environments. Most recently she served as a Registered Nurse for the State of Minnesota. Tanya earned her Doctorate Nurse Practitioner Degree at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. She loves providing care for the geriatric population and finds it very rewarding to make a difference in her patient’s lives while also advocating for their healthcare needs. She is also certified in foot care which is helpful when serving the senior population. In Tanya’s spare time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, camping, and spending time outdoors and with her husband.
Khoi Nguyen Khuong, MSN, AGPNP-C
Khoi Nguyen is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with a focus on providing primary care services to seniors in the comfort of their communities. She began her healthcare career in a nursing home setting with a focus on caring for patients with tracheostomies, Alzheimer’s disease, and dementia. Khoi Nguyen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Olaf College and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She is also a member of the honor society of nursing, Sigma Theta Tau. Khoi Nguyen has worked in a multitude of settings including hospitals and medical, surgical and intensive care units. Her favorite aspect about her job is having the opportunity to build a strong relationship with her patients and create an individualize care plan for everyone she serves. In her free time, Khoi Nguyen likes to spend time with her husband and family as well as staying active by running, biking, and walking.
Amanda Boettger, PA-C, MMS
Amanda Boettger is a Board Certified Physician Assistant with Twin Cities Physicians. She attained her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Spanish from Hamline University and her Masters of Medical Science Physician Assistant at Salus University. Amanda has held many roles within the healthcare industry, including a CNA and four years as an Emergency Room Technician prior to becoming a Physician Assistant. Building relationships with her patients and their families is one of her favorite parts of her job, as she gets great satisfaction advocating for the senior population. When not working with her patients, Amanda enjoys playing soccer, spending time with her rescue dog Lucy, and eating Mexican foods.
Gayle Bauer, AGNP-C
Gayle is an Adult-Gerontological Primary Care Practitioner certified by the AANP and the ANCC. She graduated with her Bachelor in Nursing from St. Olaf College and attained her Maters of Science in Nursing from Kaplan University, holding many positions in healthcare along the way. For the past 25 years, she has spent her career as an Assistant Director of Nursing at the Northfield Hospital Long Term Care Center. Gayle believes that a person is never too old to learn and enjoys facilitating her patients and their families with creating a care plan that is more individualized for their needs. When not at work, Gayle enjoys the outdoors, and you can probably find her helping her husband at their farm, playing golf, or enjoying a bonfire.
Thomas Wilson, APRN, AGNP, CNP
Thomas Wilson is an Adult-Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner certified by the AANP. He is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Minnesota Nurse Practitioners Association. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cleveland State University and attained his Master of Science in Nursing from University of North Dakota. In previous positions, Thomas specialized in Internal Medicine in a Multi-Care Specialty Clinic. He believes in providing holistic care to adult and elderly patients with the goal of empowering them to make better lifestyle choices that will improve their overall health. When not working with his patients, Thomas enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and attending concerts.
Kristy Lichtenberg, PA-C
Kristy Lichtenberg is a Board Certified Physician Assistant with a focus on providing care to patients in the comfort of their homes. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Wisconsin – River Falls and attained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Augsburg University. Kristy believes in building strong relationships with her patients to truly understand their needs, improve their quality of life, and brighten their days. When not at work, she enjoys spending time at her cabin with family and friends and playing hockey on various outdoor rinks. Kristy also enjoys updating her home by doing a variety of “DIY” projects.
Lucky Amedu, APRN, NP-C
Lucky Amedu is an Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner certified by the AANP. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Bethel University and his Master of Science degree in Nursing from Walden University. Lucky has previously worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, transitional care units, assisted living communities, long-term care facilities, and home care environments. His goal is to empower his patients and their families through education to ensure that they are equipped with the knowledge to make informed healthcare decisions. When not at work, Lucky enjoys spending time with his family and a variety of outdoor activities including landscaping and playing soccer.
Jill Kuethe, NP-C, ACHPN
Jill Kuethe is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with a focus on providing her patients with holistic care. She is also an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse and holds a Post-Master’s Certificate in Family Practice from the University of Massachusetts – Boston. Jill received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Iowa and attained her Master’s in Adult Nurse Practitioner from North Park University. She has served as a Nurse Practitioner in a variety of different clinical settings including Oncology, Dermatology, and most recently Palliative Care. Jill strongly believes in optimizing communication between patients, families, and the healthcare system. She strives to truly understand her patients in order to help them achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life. When not at work, Jill enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog. She also enjoys a variety of different outdoor activities including hiking and trail running.
Mehret Medhanie, APRN, CNP
Mehret is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with a focus on making meaningful connections with each of her patients. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and Master of Science in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner degree from St. Catherine University. Mehret has worked with patients in a variety of settings including Surgical Trauma, Neuroscience, and Cardiac Short Stay units. Her goal is to bridge the gap between knowledge and delivery of quality healthcare for each person who she serves. When not at work, Mehret enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her friends and family.
Regine Ndifor – RN, BSN, MSN, FNP
Regine Ndifor is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on treating each one of her patients with the compassionate care they deserve. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, Master of Science degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. Regine has worked in a variety of different settings including hospitals, long-term care centers, urgent care clinics, assisted livings and home care. She takes pride in being diligent in her work to ensure each patient knows they are important to her. In her free time, Regine enjoys spending time with her family and friends and partaking in various community activities to celebrate her African culture.
Chris Eatherton – Director of Operations
Chris is the Director of Operations for Twin Cities Physicians. Prior to his time in Minnesota, Chris served as the General Manager of Rocky Mountain Senior Care, an onsite primary care provider with a model of care similar to Twin Cities Physicians in Colorado. He knows that we stand in a unique position to care for those who cared for us and finds it very fulfilling knowing he has the opportunity to play a role in this care every day. When not at work, Chris enjoys water sports, spending time with his family, photography, and videography.
Meg Petrich – Operations Manager
Meg holds a Bachelor Degree in Healthcare Leadership from Bethel University and plays an important role as the Operations Manager with Twin Cities Physicians. Throughout her career, Meg has held roles within hospital, memory care, cardiac and orthopedic settings. Working with Twin Cities Physicians brings her joy because she knows the positive way she impacts the lives of our patients and their families. When not working, Meg enjoys reading, writing, playing board games, video games, and spending time outdoors.
Cindy Gilleland, RN, BSN, PHN – Clinical Liaison
Cindy is a Clinical Liaison with Twin Cities Physicians. She graduated from Minnesota State Mankato with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Public Health. Prior to working with Twin Cities Physicians, Cindy held leadership roles in skilled nursing and assisted living settings and most recently an RN consultant for a local pharmacy. She loves the ability to connect with each building and their residents to ensure they’re getting the services and care they deserve. When not in the office, Cindy likes to stay active and spend time with her family.
